
Rose L. Harper is the pseudonym used by Branka Martinović, mag. oec., analyst and writer.
In her books, the author deals with thematic motives: faith, hope, friendship, family, love, forgiveness, redemption, human identity and virtues, as well as the concretization of freedom and responsibility in human everyday life.
The author also includes economic and political spheres, initiating intellectual and spiritual discussions in society on many topics. The author has participated with her work in numerous processes important in the economic, social, religious, cultural, intellectual and political fields.
“A painting, a horseman, a clock”, the author’s third novel published in 2024, tells the story of an aristocratic-commoner couple who set out in search of a miraculous painting in Bosnia and Herzegovina at the dawn of the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. It brings a political message about the importance of wisdom and learning from history, as well as the danger of political naivety.
“The Gift”, the author’s second novel, which brings a family saga imbued with secrets, research and human warmth, and which problematizes in vitro fertilization, prenatal testing, surrogacy, gender ideology, marketing manipulation, illegal entrepreneurship and degrowth ideology, was published in 2022.
The author’s first work, “Invisible Beauty”, a disruptive novel that speaks about human trafficking, addiction to gambling, betting and pornography, as well as all the policies that go with them, and about human identity and pure love from the perspective of a financial analyst in the secret service, was published in 2020. Through the main character, the book also brings an introspective part related to wartime in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
